Richard Lewis 

Richard Lewis is our employment and litigation partner. Richard has a wealth of experience in acting for both employers and employees.  Richard is particularly keen to advise clients on how to avoid employment disputes and how careful structuring of human resources can assist firms to improve their productivity.

Richard also has an extensive practice in all aspects of civil litigation helping clients to resolve their commercial disputes including building disputes, misrepresentation and breaches of contract, debt recovery and disputes between shareholders and directors.

Richard graduated from Victoria University in Law, and from Otago University with a Commerce degree majoring in Economics.

We feel strongly that litigation should be a last resort and Richard is an advocate for the use of alternative dispute resolution as a practical way of obtaining cost effective solutions for clients who prefer to focus on moving forward rather than who is right.

Richard's other areas of practice include relationship property, wills, trusts, estates and general business advice.
